MEET ELENOR

Meet Elinor

"In July of 2019, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. This was after almost one year of symptoms that included numerous spinal and rib fractures. I started treatment in the summer of 2019 and was provided CyBorD and subsequent high-dose therapy with a stem cell transplant in November 2019. The six months following diagnosis were a difficult period for myself and my family. Currently, I am on lenalidomide maintenance and so far the multiple myeloma is at bay.

I participate in the Myeloma Walk of Champions because this cause is very important to me and it is an opportunity for me and my family to come together in support of raising awareness and also important funds for research. Currently, multiple myeloma is not curable, however, there have been new treatments to manage this disease. I am hopeful that there will be a cure someday and these types of fundraisers will help us get to that goal soon."
